About the role
Provide Health and Wellbeing program support to the Section and the Corporation in particular to the Health Surveillance and the Health Promotions program through coordination and planning activities, conducting research and analysis, organising and reviewing health surveillance data, booking referrals, leading the workplace vaccination program and the development and presentation of health and wellbeing training, education and promotional packages.

What you can expect with this role
- Coordinate, plan and support health and wellbeing programs such as Health Surveillance and Health Promotions which have been initiated across the Corporation.
- Engage with respiratory and audiometric testing service providers to coordinate delivery of services with our regional teams. Undertake health surveillance to fill gaps as needed.
- Identify workers who have been earmarked for referral by service providers and help facilitate further assessments.
- Assist with profiling workers for different workplace vaccinations and maintain vaccination records.
- Engage with fit testing service providers and coordinating fit testing service delivery with our regional teams.
- Research external health and wellbeing trends and information and analyse internal health data and statistics to contribute to the development of health and wellbeing improvement strategies for the business.
- Coordinate health data gathering with HR for pre-employment medicals to establish worker’s baseline health.
- Conduct in-house individual basic health assessments as required.
- Review and analyse occupational illness and disease, and vaccination data as collated and provide recommendations, improvement strategies and key learnings from analysis.
- Participates in audits under supervision and contributes to reports to ensure compliance with Corporate, Divisional, Business Unit and legislative requirements.
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- Tertiary qualification in Health Science (preferred), Occupational Health Nursing, Allied Health, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related discipline, and/or relevant experience within a large, multi‑disciplined commercial or government organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in managing or undertaking health surveillance activities, specifically audiometry and spirometry.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and apply sound judgement.
- Proven understanding of OSH legislation, including relevant Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice.
- Demonstrated ability to arrange and coordinate health promotion activities, including wellbeing initiatives and other workplace health programs.
- Experience with vaccinations and fit‑testing programs is beneficial but not essential.
- Well‑developed verbal and written communication skills.
