About this role

This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and support applications written in RPG IV (ILE/Free format) and COBOL on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform.
Analyze, design, and implement program changes to enhance business processes related to freight management, routing, dispatch, warehousing, and scheduling .
Work closely with business analysts and end users to understand requirements and translate them into functional code.
Support daily batch jobs and data interfaces between internal and external systems.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Document system modifications, technical processes, and procedures.
Participate in system modernization initiatives, including potential migrations from legacy platforms.

Required Qualifications:

Experience in RPG (RPG IV, ILE, Free Format) and COBOL .
Knowledge of IBM iSeries (AS/400)
Hands-on experience with batch and real-time processing .
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
