Swoon is seeking a Business Analyst to support Flight Shopping Domain projects and Roadmap in all planning execution and delivery efforts. The role involves analyzing channel/customer/project requests and requirements, ensuring the development team receives adequate information, and acting as a Subject Matter Expert.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the development team gets adequate requirements and/or engage with requesting teams as appropriate to identify where requirements gaps need to be addressed
- Coordinate with business partners to gather the information required to understand deliverables and associated project timelines
- Write requirements documents as needed to close gaps
- Prepare domain estimates
- Attend wall walks/requirements meetings/user story reviews
- Attend IT Status and other meetings for non-Enterprise projects to represent Shopping and prepare notes/ use cases for team consumption
- Subject Matter Expert
- Develop expertise in the domain and act as a consultant/reference to Business, other IT teams and channel partners regarding domain functionalities
- Represent Shopping domain in meetings & act as proxy for Sr. Manager, when needed
- Gather onboarding information, as needed
- Schedule & facilitate knowledge transfer sessions for new hires
- Help review weekly accomplishments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business Administration and/or equivalent work experience, education, or training
- +3 years of Industry experience as System or Business analyst
- Demonstrable track record dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile, fast-paced environment
- Looking for a strong level of nimbleness and agility in shifting between tasks and juggling changing priorities
- Capable of managing multiple priorities, tasks, projects, and deadlines
- Ability to promote ideas and make sound decisions as a member of a team of technical experts
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understands and has been involved in Agile development techniques in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment
- Must be resourceful in this role, when a need or problem is identified, resource is expected to take initiative to help figure out how to get it filled or resolved or take responsibility him/herself to take appropriate action toward identifying a path forward
- Proficient with Azure DevOps (ADO) and Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, in formal and informal settings
- Works well in collaborative and individual settings
- Proficient with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and standard Office tools
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- CSM - Certified Scrum Master a plus
