Software Engineer

Boeing is a global leader in aerospace innovation and manufacturing, dedicated to providing advanced solutions in defense systems and aircraft. They are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to develop and maintain critical software for precision-guided weapons and missile systems, collaborating with military customers to ensure high standards of functionality and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to create and implement Operational Flight Program software solutions for military platforms
• Participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle within an Agile environment, from requirements analysis to deployment
• Developing software solutions using Ada, C#, and Python, ensuring robustness and reliability
• Conducting software testing and assisting system-level testing to verify correct functionality and performance
• Analyzing problem reports, troubleshooting software defects, and implementing effective solutions
• Developing leadership skills and gaining experience in project management and technical mentorship
• Engaging directly with U.S. Air Force and Navy customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored software solutions

Requirements:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, software engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution (strongly preferred)
• At least 3 years of experience in real-time embedded software development
• Proficiency in developing software using Object-Oriented principles
• Experience working effectively within a team environment
• Experience with programming languages such as Ada, Python, or C#
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and version control systems like Git
• Ability to develop and trace software requirements effectively
• Active U.S. Secret Clearance
