Apptegy is a company dedicated to transforming how schools communicate and shape the future of education. They are seeking a VP of Growth Marketing to build and scale a modern, data-driven demand engine that drives predictable pipeline and accelerates revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and own Apptegy’s end-to-end new and client expansion demand generation strategies across digital, field, partner, and account-based channels
- Design a scalable full-funnel model from awareness to MQL to SQL to pipeline to bookings to revenue
- Establish clear KPIs, attribution models, and performance dashboards tied to revenue outcomes in partnership with RevOps
- Create predictable, multi-channel pipeline generation programs aligned to sales segments and growth goals
- Leverage AI-driven segmentation, personalization, and ABM orchestration to increase pipeline efficiency and conversion rates
- Implement AI-assisted experimentation frameworks to accelerate testing velocity across messaging, landing pages, offers, and campaigns
- Optimize conversion rates at every stage of the funnel using automation and data-driven iteration
- Hire, develop, and mentor a best-in-class demand generation, marketing ops and creative services team
- Establish strong cross-functional alignment with Sales, XDR, RevOps, Client Experience , Product, and Marketing
- Create clear ownership, accountability, and performance management frameworks
- Evaluate and optimize the marketing technology stack, ensuring AI tools and automation platforms are strategically integrated
- Partner with RevOps to improve lead scoring, routing, lifecycle management, and predictive reporting
- Design closed-loop analytics systems that use AI to surface conversion friction, performance gaps, and revenue leakage
- Drive data hygiene, governance, and operational excellence across the funnel
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to translate positioning and product launches into compelling campaigns
- Develop segment-specific strategies using AI-assisted insights to refine ICP targeting and prioritization
- Develop segment-specific strategies by district size, geography, persona,and expansion versus net-new
- Build account-based strategies for high-value segments
Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with significant leadership in demand generation within SaaS environments
- 8+ years of direct people leadership experience, including building, developing, and scaling high-performing marketing teams
- Proven success building and scaling pipeline engines that drive measurable revenue growth
- Deep understanding of full-funnel marketing, attribution modeling, and conversion optimization
- Strong partnership mindset with Sales and Revenue teams
- Analytical rigor and comfort making data-driven decisions
- Experience managing and optimizing multi-million-dollar marketing budgets
- Expertise with modern marketing automation and CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, chilipiper, Intercom or similar tools
- You have built a demand engine from near zero to scale and can clearly articulate the playbook
- Experience in vertical SaaS or selling into K–12, public sector, or mission-driven organizations
- Strong ABM experience in mid-market or enterprise sales motions
- You blend strategy and execution and are equally comfortable architecting the plan and rolling up your sleeves
- You thrive in growth-stage environments where clarity, ownership, and momentum matter
- You are a systems thinker who builds repeatable processes, not one-off campaigns
