BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is seeking an experienced Project Manager II to support the Core Payer Applications portfolio. In this role, you will lead large-scale initiatives, collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery and effective risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Manages enterprise projects with little assistance
- Updates and maintains current project information within the established project management tool
- Manages scope and the execution of change management processes
- Ensures the procurement of hardware, software and human resources as needed for the project
- Manages project costs, and works with project owners, stakeholders, and delivery team to manage project quality
- Tracks and reports risks and issues
- Proactively evaluates project activities
- Builds contingency plans
- Executes corrective actions when necessary
- Implements risk response plans to manage risk
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience
- 4 years experience in business or information technology project delivery
- Experienced in Agile, Scaled Agile, and Waterfall methodologies
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve project goals
- Must be a team player, be organized, and handle multiple projects
- Has a successful track record completing projects on time and on budget
- Must be comfortable with professionally challenging key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Prior experience supporting the PMO group within BCBST
- Prior experience supporting the ETSM Core Payer portfolio within BCBST
