WSP is currently initiating a search for a Power Delivery Project Manager. The successful candidate may work from a mutually acceptable location within the United States pacific time zone. You must have the ability to travel to a WSP and/or Client office for periodic face to face meetings.
Provides high‑level technical project leadership and guidance in managing the administrative, commercial, and technical delivery of assigned High Voltage (HV) Substation and Transmission Line projects or portfolios in accordance with WSP’s core values, utility and client standards, and the agreed scope of services. Leads projects involving HV substations (115kV, 230kV, 345kV and above), including greenfield and brownfield substation design, construction, and upgrades, while coordinating civil, structural, electrical, protection & control (P&C), and commissioning activities.
Responsible for the overall performance of moderate to large, complex, multi‑discipline substation projects with regional or utility‑scale scope, including oversight of financial performance, technical quality, client satisfaction, safety (OSHA), schedule, and risk management. Ensures adherence throughout the full project lifecycle—proposal development, project startup, engineering design, procurement, construction support, testing & commissioning, energization, and project closeout—with compliance to utility standards, NERC, IEEE, IEC, and applicable regulatory requirements. Delivers projects that meet or exceed corporate standards for safety, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), execution excellence, profitability, and operational reliability.
