The Application Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for shaping, guiding, and governing the design and delivery of enterprise-class application solutions. This role works closely with business leaders, developers, infrastructure teams, cloud specialists, and vendors to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, cost‑effective, and aligned with enterprise technology strategies.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in modern application design, hands‑on development, cloud and hybrid architectures, and the ability to influence and mentor teams across the organization.

Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and communicate technology strategy, roadmaps, standards, and solution architectures
- Lead strategic technology initiatives and proofs of concept to explore new capabilities and approaches
- Research and assess technology trends to inform enterprise planning and adoption
- Provide architectural direction, consultation, and oversight to solution delivery teams and vendors
- Conduct architecture reviews to align strategy, standards, and service requirements
- Communicate design decisions, and solution approaches at all organizational levels
- Refine and promote application development standards, patterns, and best practices
- Lead the creation and maintenance of reusable code libraries and shared services
- Mentor developers and provide coaching on modern development frameworks and tools
- Develop training materials that support efficient use of development environments and tools
What You Bring to the Role:
- 15 plus years of IT design, development, and delivery experience in enterprise environments with a degree or diploma in a related discipline; leadership experience is an asset
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills across technical and business teams
- Ability to influence and guide without direct authority
- Experience developing technology strategies and solution architectures for on‑premises and hybrid cloud ecosystems
- Knowledge of architecture frameworks; certifications such as TOGAF, ITIL, CBAP, Azure or AWS Architect are assets
- Expertise in modern SPA/PWA development and object‑oriented programming (preferably C#)
- Experience with REST APIs, Entity Framework Core or similar ORM frameworks, Blazor or SPA equivalents, and common design patterns (Unit of Work, Repository)
- Familiarity with ASP.NET Core, Infragistics, Visual Studio, Git, Azure DevOps, SQL/PL‑SQL, and Remedy.
- Understanding of API‑based integration patterns and related tools
