Student Summer Employment Opportunity - Public Works Labourer (1 position)
This position is responsible for day-to-day work, tasks, operations and projects of the public works department in regards to summer road maintenance, ditch and culvert maintenance, grass and weed maintenance, related construction activities, equipment maintenance, emergency response functions and related duties and services. Deals with the public in a courteous and respectful manner.
Successful candidates will work 30 to 40 hours per week and be required to be available during weekends.
Position Requirements:
- Full time student in the past academic year and returning to full time studies in the fall of 2026
- Completed their 2025/2026 school term
- A valid Ontario driver’s license (Class G or G2) preferred
- Be between 16 and 30 years of age
- Canadian citizens, permanent residents or have refugee protection status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Be able to work days and weekends during the period of April 1st to August 26th, 2026 (Dates subject to change)
Rate of pay is $17.60/hour
