ROLE PURPOSEThe role of the Workshop Engineer is to support both workshop and Pre-Staging activities, including the repair of faulty modules and the set-up of new equipment ready for installation at client sites.
Key Responsibilities
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESWorkshop Repair
- Diagnosis and repair of faulty modules
- Ensure quality of repairs are at optimum level
- Effective time management of repairs
- Parts usage to be tracked correctly via correct closing jobs procedures
- Workshop area to be kept clean and tidy
Machine Setup
- Setup new equipment as per customer specifications
- Perform equipment pre-staging
- Testing and repairing refurbished units
- Double-check all setups prior to dispatch to ensure accuracy for installation
Health & Safety
- Adherence to Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times
- Ensure the prompt and accurate reporting of all workplace incidents and injuries
- Ensure all hazards are promptly reported according to the hazard management process
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS- Completed a recognised engineering or electro-mechanical qualification or similar
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Strong mechanical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability in problem solving and analytical thinking
- Strong organisational abilities
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software
