Fidium Fiber is seeking a results-driven Product Manager to develop, implement, and manage innovative telecommunications services and products. The role involves preparing business cases, negotiating partnerships, and leading the product development lifecycle while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategy for fiber-based network products focused on layers 1-3 for last mile, mid-haul, and long-haul networks
- Experience with xPON, DIA, MPLS, Switched Ethernet, Wavelengths, dark fiber, data center interconnects, managed optical fiber networks is mandatory
- Understanding of core network equipment technology and building solutions at hyperscale is critically important
- Manage serviceability requirements and location inventory
- Own and manage the full product development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality telecom solutions
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to translate process and market needs into actionable development plans and product requirements
- Experience developing partnership agreements and writing end user product addenda
- Own the financial success of your products from initial business case through accurate P&L reporting and financial analysis
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards to communicate progress, risks, and KPIs to senior leadership
- Be a leader in your product areas by staying abreast of industry trends and competitive market developments
- Be your products’ strongest evangelist by leading sales in identifying, positioning, and closing the deal for your products
- Will travel to industry conferences, corporate events, and be part of in market customer visits.? Travel is not expected to exceed 25%
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management within the telecommunications industry
- Experience in delivering services in North America and familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge in the costs and design requirements for construction of fiber networks from metro to international footprint
- Use and administration of network management and serviceability tools
- Related Bachelor's Degree required
- Strong understanding of Agile, SCRUM, and project management methodologies
- Proven experience managing cross-functional and distributed teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and executive reporting platforms
- Familiarity with telecom technologies, platforms, and service models
- An MBA is a strong plus for this position, but not required
