Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Kubernetes / Python / React / Go)

Rackner is a software consultancy focused on building mission-critical systems for the U.S. government. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, prototype, and build modern platform capabilities, developing full-stack applications, backend services, and distributed systems using cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop modern full-stack applications and distributed systems
• Build backend services using Python (including frameworks such as FastAPI) and Go
• Develop frontend interfaces using React and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Deploy and operate applications in containerized and Kubernetes-based environments
• Rapidly prototype and validate new platform capabilities
• Contribute to architecture and system design discussions
• Build scalable APIs and services supporting evolving platform needs
• Use modern engineering tooling, including AI-assisted development tools, to accelerate development
• Collaborate with engineers and technical leadership to move concepts into production-quality systems

Requirements:

• Professional experience building full-stack software systems
• Backend development using Python, including frameworks such as FastAPI
• Backend systems development using Go
• Frontend development using React and modern JavaScript
• Experience deploying applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with microservices, APIs, and distributed systems
• Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and deliver working software quickly
• Comfort operating in environments where engineers take ownership of technical outcomes
• Experience using modern development tooling and engineering workflows
• Candidates must be eligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility
