Software Engineer 3

eTeam is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to work with Nike Inc. The role involves developing technical solutions to meet business needs, managing small to moderate-sized solutions, and advising product owners on technology-related business problems.

Responsibilities:

• Assesses a well-defined problem and leads the development of a technical solution that meets the needs of the business and aligns with architectural standards
• Manages small- to moderate-sized solutions, or plays a key role on larger teams, working within the parameters of two to three sprints. Provides direction to team members and/or vendors
• Advises product owners on discrete technology-related business problems; formulates options, including assessing their relative merits and risks; and works with product owners to determine the best solution

Requirements:

• Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 3 yrs; Masters + 4 yrs; Associates degree + 6 yrs; High School + 7 yrs
• 5+ years' experience minimum required in a software engineering role
• Production web development experience will be required
• Candidates must have track record of checking their own work (i.e. building, testing, deploying, and supporting)
• Degree preferred, not a hard requirement
• Interested in full stack development experience with modern frontend frameworks like React or Vue or experience developing APIs backed by databases like DynamoDB, S3, Elasticsearch
• Prior experience in innovation, sport science not needed but would help significantly with ramp up time
• Candidates with previous experience working on the Innovation app (JTL) or prior Nike experience will be highly prioritized for shortlisting
• Candidates who can start immediately will be preferred
