SC&A, Inc. is an environmental consulting firm that supports various sectors in protecting public health and maintaining environmental compliance. They are seeking an experienced, licensed engineer to apply technical skills to projects aimed at improving drinking water systems and optimizing wastewater treatment operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support investigations, infrastructure assessments, and environmental remediation projects both on site and from your remote/work-from-home office
- Conduct engineering analyses related to water, wastewater, stormwater, and environmental systems
- Conduct field data collection, system inspections, sampling, and testing
- Prepare and review technical reports, design documents, and regulatory submittals
- Support remedial design and implementation activities under RCRA, CERCLA, and related regulatory frameworks
- Coordinate with project teams, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders
- Perform field oversight, data collection, and contractor/subcontractor coordination as needed
- Work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary project teams both in the field and in remote/work-from-home settings
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related engineering discipline from an accredited institution
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience (including internships, co-ops, or related project experience) in environmental consulting, infrastructure projects, remediation, or water/wastewater systems
- Demonstrated experience preparing engineering calculations and technical reports
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills
- Willingness to perform fieldwork and travel to project sites as required
- Working knowledge of environmental regulations, including RCRA and CERCLA
- Experience with water, wastewater, stormwater, and/or environmental system evaluation and design
