DTN is a global data and technology company that helps operational leaders in energy, agriculture, and weather-driven industries make faster, smarter decisions. The Engineering Manager will lead a multidisciplinary software engineering team within the Energy organization, responsible for driving technical excellence and team development for mission-critical products.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for systems built with .NET (C#), legacy Delphi, and AWS-native services
- Lead modernization efforts, including migration of legacy workloads to AWS serverless and managed cloud services
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Partner with Product Management to align on priorities, roadmaps, and delivery objectives
- Own end-to-end delivery of features and platform capabilities, including Agile ceremonies, sprint execution, and production readiness
- Ensure systems meet DTN standards for security, reliability, scalability, observability, and operational excellence
- Champion operational best practices, including monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- 5+ years of engineering leadership or technical team lead experience and 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in .NET (C#) enterprise application development and supporting or modernizing legacy Delphi systems
- Experience building and operating cloud-native systems on AWS, including services such as Lambda, RDS, and S3
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and modern DevOps practices
- Proven success leading teams delivering distributed, event-driven, mission-critical systems
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and cloud-native architecture
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across product, engineering, and operations teams
- Experience in Energy, Fuels, Logistics, or data-driven platforms is a plus
