The Recreation Director will oversee the performance and operations of a recreational facility. They will manage staff and must make sure that they hire the right people for the right activities. They conduct performance evaluations in a timely manner
QualificationsDuties include but are not limited to:
Oversee recreation events to ensure that they meet specific goals, guests’ interests and needs
and corporate philosophies.
Manage, develop and lead recreation staff by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and
reviewing the performance of all staff employees.
Develop, plan, and implement enjoyable programs and activities for guests to promote fitness,
wellness and enrichment.
Keep records to improve future recreation planning, documenting guest reception and
participation.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of company policies, procedures and forms at an expert level.
Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at an expert level.
Knowledge of State of local governmental safety requirements.
Knowledge of general office equipment (copier, fax, phone systems, etc.).
Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
Professional customer service skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a expert level.
Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish fluent)
