
Location: In-Office | Volare Health (Corporate)
Volare Health is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support our growing portfolio of skilled nursing and senior living facilities. This role is responsible for preparing journal entries, performing complex account reconciliations, and completing financial analysis across multiple legal entities, including home office, intercompany, and equity transactions. The Senior Accountant plays a key role in the month-end close process and supports management through accurate reporting and financial insight.
Participate in the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and review of financial statement trends
Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations and maintain appropriate supporting documentation
Prepare and post journal entries related to home office, intercompany, joint ventures, debt, revenue, reserves, and other general accounting transactions
Maintain the chart of accounts and general ledger systems
Assist with the preparation and distribution of monthly financial and statistical reports to management
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and assist leadership with analysis and interpretation
Review financial statements for accuracy and proper accounting treatment
Support external audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to audit requests
Provide accounting guidance and training to internal stakeholders as needed
Identify and assist with implementing efficiencies in accounting processes
Maintain compliance with Company policies, procedures, and HIPAA requirements
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent)
5–7 years of accounting or financial experience, preferably in healthcare or senior living
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and reporting tools
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
CPA designation
Corporate role supporting facilities operating 24/7, which may require occasional extended hours or weekend work
Primarily office-based with routine use of standard office equipment
May require standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and other physical activities as needed
