Allentown, PA | Summer Season, Part Time, Hourly | Monday - Friday: Daytime | $18 per hour

 

Love swimming and working with children? We got you. 

Passionate about teaching the lifesaving skill of swimming? We are looking for individuals, age 15+ to serve as swim instructors. As a Safety Around Water (SAW) Swim Instructor, you develop important skills such as communication, leadership and responsibility that will serve you for a lifetime!

What is needed to be our Safety Around Water Swim Instructor:

• Age 15+ 
• Experience with kids and passionate about teaching children to swim 
• Ability to pass American Red Cross CPR Certification
• Ability to complete our in-water skills assessment
  
• Must have a reliable method of transportation

 

The responsibilities we will trust you with as our Safety Around Water Swim Instructor:

• Working with groups and individuals to help them achieve their swim-skill goals
• Ensuring that lessons are conducted in accordance with the YMCA's internal lesson plans and policies
• Ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for the students to thrive in
