We are seeking a Concierge to join our team on a part- or full-time basis, helping us provide exceptional care and support to our residents.
The Concierge will manage the front desk reception at Harbor’s Edge, serving as the welcoming face of our community. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting residents, guests, staff, visitors, vendors, and the general public - both in person and over the phone - with professionalism, warmth, and friendliness. Every interaction should reflect the positive, caring, and high-quality experience that Harbor’s Edge is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist residents, guests, staff, vendors, and the public in person or via phone in a professional, friendly, and timely manner, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Manage front desk operations, including visitor check-ins, badge issuance, phone calls, mail and package distribution, cash handling, and accurate record-keeping.
- Provide information and direct visitors to appropriate staff, assist residents with programs, activities, events, and requests such as transportation, errands, or services.
- Coordinate transportation requests, facilitate maintenance requests, and communicate urgent or emergent situations to relevant staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and lobby area while supporting other departments with clerical duties as needed.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, multitasking, time management, computer (Microsoft Office) skills, and service excellence while working independently with sound judgment.
- Exhibit patience, compassion, adaptability, and professionalism when working with elderly or dementia populations, following all safety, confidentiality, and sanitary protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two (2) years experience working with elderly or dementia populations; 1 year of clerical/secretarial experience preferred.
- Strong reading, writing, and communication skills; able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Courteous, patient, compassionate, and adaptable; demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with residents.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and integrity, respecting residents’ rights and sensitive information.
- Provide high-quality service through active listening, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, time management, and independent decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant computer programs.
- Follow safety and sanitary protocols at all times.
