Make an impact with our Corporate Finance team as a Senior Associate. Responsibilities
- Support the origination, planning, and execution of corporate finance engagements, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and related strategic transactions.
- Conduct comprehensive industry, market, and company analysis to assess sector trends, competitive dynamics, macroeconomic factors, and key value drivers.
- Perform detailed financial and commercial analyses, including normalized earnings, sustainability of EBITDA, working capital dynamics, and risk assessment, supported by the development of complex financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses.
- Work closely with senior team members while progressively leading engagement workstreams, coordinating project plans and managing execution with clients and external stakeholders.
- Participate in the structuring and execution of private placements and the syndication of debt, junior capital, and equity financings.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality client materials, including engagement letters, investment memoranda, management presentations, reports, and transaction documentation.
- Identify opportunities to enhance client outcomes and contribute to the development and strengthening of long-term client relationships.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including the preparation of pitches, proposals, and marketing materials.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering technical development and engagement effectiveness.
- Maintain flexibility to travel as required.
Skills and Experience
- Master’s degree in a related field is considered an asset
- CPA designation
- CBV or CFA designation is considered an asset
- 3 to 4 years of professional services experience, ideally in financial analysis and modeling
- 1 to 2 years of corporate finance or mergers and acquisitions experience
- Extensive experience in transaction advisory services, including the preparation of teasers, confidential information memorandums and financial statement and information analysis
- Strong technical accounting skills with detailed knowledge Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Strong people communication, management, relationship building, and leadership skills
