The Estate & Facilities Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational stewardship of our state-of-the-art Sydney campus. This role ensures the campus facilities are maintained, protected and optimised to support high-quality teaching and learning.
Working closely with the Principal and Campus Leadership Team, this position blends hands-on operational delivery with long-term asset management. As a flagship campus within the OneSchool Global network, the role plays a critical part in preserving the value, functionality and presentation of a significant capital asset while ensuring a safe, compliant and future-ready learning environment for students, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Asset & Infrastructure Management
• Oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance and lifecycle management of campus buildings, grounds and infrastructure
• Implement preventative maintenance programs to protect long-term asset integrity
• Manage building systems including HVAC, electrical, security, access control, fire services, ICT infrastructure and specialist learning spaces
• Maintain accurate asset registers, warranties and compliance documentation
Health, Safety & Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with WHS legislation, building codes, fire regulations and Australian Standards
• Lead safety audits, risk assessments, evacuation planning and contractor inductions
• Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, insurers and emergency services
Contractor & Project Management
• Manage service contracts including cleaning, landscaping, security, maintenance and specialist systems
• Oversee minor capital works, refurbishments and fit-outs with strong budget and quality control
• Support future campus development projects in partnership with regional and global property teams
Campus Presentation & Operational Readiness
• Maintain a premium, world-class learning environment
• Coordinate term readiness, major events and examination setups
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, landscaping and functionality
Sustainability & Efficiency
• Drive energy efficiency, water management and environmentally responsible practices
• Monitor utilities and building performance data, recommending improvements
Stakeholder Engagement
• Partner with campus leadership to align facilities operations with educational priorities
• Provide responsive support to staff and students
• Represent the campus with builders, engineers, suppliers and auditors

About You
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced facilities, estate or property professional who takes pride in maintaining high-quality environments and enjoys working within a school community.
You will bring:
• Proven experience in facilities, estate or property management (education, healthcare or large-scale commercial environments highly regarded)
• Strong knowledge of building services, WHS, compliance and contractor management
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex facilities with a long-term asset stewardship mindset
• High organisational capability, attention to detail and strong systems thinking
• Excellent communication skills with a service-oriented and collaborative approach
• The ability to operate both strategically and hands-on when required
