The overall vision within the Client Servicing & Engagement Platform is to promote value for our customers and colleagues. Our team is looking for an experienced Data Engineer.
Important Skills:
Cloud Computing: P1
GCP Services: Familiarity with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub for data handling and analysis
Data Integration: Ability to integrate data from various GCP sources using tools like BigQuery external tables and federated queries
Security and Compliance: Understanding of data security practices, including encryption and access controls
Azure Services: Proficiency in Azure services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions and Azure Blob Storage
Data Engineering: P2
ETL Processes: Proficiency in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to handle data ingestion, transformation, and loading
Big Data Technologies: Experience with tools like Hadoop, Spark, and Hive for processing large datasets
Database Management: Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including optimization and performance tuning
Kafka: P3
Apache Kafka: Deep understanding of Apache Kafka, including its architecture, components, and data streaming capabilities
Distributed Systems: Knowledge of distributed systems principles, such as data replication, partitioning, and fault tolerance
Programming: Proficiency in Java for writing custom producers, consumers, and connectors
Additional Skills:
Microsoft Dynamics: 3
Dynamics 365: Proficiency in Dynamics 365 for managing customer data and business processes.
Integration: Experience integrating Dynamics with other data sources and platforms, including GCP.
Analytical Skills
Data Analysis: Ability to analyse and interpret data to provide actionable insights.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address data-related challenges.
Soft Skills
Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders
Continuous Learning: Staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud computing
