The work of the plant packaging engineer consists of managing customer and supplier containers, their flow to the plant, design and evaluation of packaging standards, as well as updating customer-owned container inventories.
The main missions of the position are:
o Schedule and follow up on the returnable container maintenance plan for customers and suppliers.
o Ensure the accomplishment of requirement for IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and C-TPAT systems focused to PC&L.
o Register FCS packaging standards for finished products and raw materials.
o Develop and design packaging standards for new projects.
o Develop alternative packaging standards
o Update inventories of client-owned containers.
o Reconciliation of container inventories with customers and suppliers.
o Manage the flow of containers from customers and suppliers to the plant.
o Monitor the transit of containers from customers and suppliers.
o Calculation of returnable container loops with customers and suppliers.
o Optimization of packaging cost.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum education level: Ingenieria industrial, comercio internacional o afin.
Experience :
o Experience in material handling, ergonomic standards and/or warehouses.
o Package instruction creation on SAP
o Experience in IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and C-TPAT systems focused to PC&L.
o Develop / Design package for new projects.
o Update customer portal empty package knowledge
o Manage the returnable container flow with customer/suppliers portal.
o Be able to monitor transit of containers
o Customer returnable package customer portal knowledge ( Covisint, esupply connect)
o Returnable Loop calculation interpretation
