Job Purpose: This position executes BTG & BoP civil tasks, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines. Prepares detailed project documents and reports, conducts technical assessments, and collaborates with the team to resolve any issues. Ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.
Lead PECM Civil - BTG & BoP
Project Planning and Coordination:
Assist in developing detailed project plans and L2 and L3 schedules for BTG, BoP, and enabling works, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
Participate in project kick-off meetings and communicate project goals and expectations to relevant stakeholders.
Develop and share project plans with OEMs and site teams, ensuring timely approval and coordination.
Support the Team Lead in coordinating project activities and providing feedback on schedules.
Use data analytics tools for Civil project management data and implement digitization strategies.
Technical Oversight and Specification Management:
Assist in preparing civil technical specifications in collaboration with the engineering team.
Provide technical support during the execution phase, addressing any queries or issues.
Ensure that specifications are accurate, meet project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Vendor Management and Coordination:
Evaluate and review vendor proposals and bids, assisting in the selection and qualification process.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment, addressing any technical queries that arise.
Conduct kick-off meetings with vendors, review schedules, and ensure alignment with project requirements.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Coordinate with CQA to maintain high standards for civil works, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Conduct inspections and audits to verify adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
Execution and Site Management Support:
Provide technical support to the site execution team for civil works, addressing and resolving technical issues during the execution phase.
Monitor project activities to ensure they are completed on schedule and within budget.
Follow up with sub-vendors and site teams to ensure alignment with project requirements and timely delivery of materials.
Cost Control and Budget Management:
Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets, and monitor expenditures to prevent budget overruns.
Prepare and submit regular budget reports, including cash flow reports, and ensure they are accurate.
Review billing breakups, ensure timely processing of vendor payments, and coordinate with Finance for payment releases.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare project documentation, including technical specifications, BoQs, and progress reports.
Submit regular project status updates to the Head of Civil and other stakeholders.
Coordinate with other teams (Engineering, PECM, PMAG, Site) to prepare project closeout reports and learning documents.
Manage contract compliance, oversee amendments, and ensure closure of contracts.

Educational Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering is required; an MBA is preferred.
Work Experience (Range of years):
6+ years of experience in project execution, engineering, and contract management in the civil domain, specifically related to Boiler, Turbine, and Generator (BTG) and Balance of Plant (BoP) systems.
Preferred Industry:
Experience in the power generation industry, including thermal power plants, or other large-scale industrial sectors. Strong background in civil engineering, project management, and regulatory compliance within the energy or industrial sectors is highly preferred.
