Atlas is seeking a Senior Security AI Engineer to design and build AI-enabled security solutions across various enterprise security domains. The role focuses on hands-on engineering and solution delivery to address complex security challenges using AI and automation.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build AI-assisted security solutions, including agent-style workflows, decision services, and intelligent automations
- Translate complex or ambiguous security problems into engineered, production-ready solutions
- Apply sound engineering judgment to determine when AI, automation, or deterministic logic is most appropriate
- Develop integrations and automations using APIs, services, and event-driven architectures
- Build reusable security components and workflows that operate across multiple security domains
- Ensure solutions integrate cleanly with existing platforms, services, and operational processes
- Work closely with security engineers, platform engineers, and data scientists to deliver effective solutions
- Write maintainable, well-tested, and secure code and automation logic
- Contribute to shared patterns, libraries, and best practices for AI-enabled security engineering
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field
- 8+ years of experience in security engineering, systems engineering, or security automation
- Proven experience designing, building, and deploying production-grade security systems or automations
- Strong understanding of: Security operations concepts and workflows, Cloud and infrastructure environments, Identity and access management principles
- Hands-on experience using AI or LLM-based capabilities as part of real, deployed systems
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python
- Experience working with APIs, distributed systems, and service-oriented architectures
- Master's degree or PhD in a related technical discipline
- Experience designing AI-assisted workflows or agent-like systems
- Background across multiple security domains (e.g., SOC, cloud security, IAM, application security)
- Experience integrating with enterprise security platforms and internal services
