About this role
AppZen, Inc. is the leader in autonomous spend-to-pay software, and they are seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to extend their existing infrastructure. In this role, you will design and implement technology solutions to support mission-critical applications and ensure high availability and security.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation elastically scalable solutions
- Define and abide by stringent security standards
- Design for business continuity
- Build environments from the ground up with security and performance built in
- Implement monitoring, metrics and alerts
- Ensure we are using the most appropriate technologies
- Work well in an Agile/Scrum environment, but also be responsive to urgent requests
- Maintain a high standard of work quality and encourage others to do the same
- Energetic individual with enthusiasm to learn new tools, technologies & processes
Requirements:

- Hands on Linux experience
- Expert level AWS experience
- Expert knowledge of micro services
- Experience with High Availability environments
- 4+ years experience with setting up and maintaining cloud environments
- Experience with database usage and management
- SQL and NoSQL experience
- Experience building and supporting a 5-9s environment
- Experience with a streaming infrastructure
- Experience with auto scalable micro services
- Experience with Terraform
- Familiarity with JIRA is a plus
- OWASP or CISSP experience
- Experience with ECS/Fargate
