Software Engineer - Platform InfraCore | USA | Remote

Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source powerhouse that helps companies manage their observability strategies. They are seeking a Software Engineer for their Platform InfraSec squad to enhance cloud security features and improve developer productivity through automation and secure practices.

Responsibilities:

• Own the automation and decision making around our underlying CSP and compute security features for Grafana Cloud
• Manage cloud service provider IAM, Kubernetes RBAC, secret management, and workload security
• Write and ship code to simplify secure decision making for engineers by providing pre-configured, secure templates and embedding security best practices into development tools
• Conduct security reviews and advisory for engineers contributing to Grafana Cloud
• Invest in developer productivity by utilizing modern AI coding assistants as part of the daily workflow
• Encourage pragmatic AI-assisted development including faster prototyping, test generation, refactors, documentation, and incident follow-ups
• Access frontier models (e.g., GPT-Codex 5/3, Claude Opus 4.6, Gemini 3 Pro) for development

Requirements:

• Keen on working with distributed systems
• Familiarity with CSP IAM and Kubernetes RBAC
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, particularly with Terraform/Crossplane
• Experience operating and managing workloads on Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud security posture management (CSPM)
• Experience with a few CSPs (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Familiarity with threat modeling, secure architecture reviews, and security tabletop exercises
• Enjoys programming in Go
• Experience working in or on open source or other community-based projects
