Alpha Consulting Corp. is seeking a hands-on Support Engineer to perform manual accessibility assessments and support automated scanning processes. The role involves ensuring web and application experiences meet accessibility standards and providing guidance to engineering teams for remediation of accessibility findings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct manual accessibility reviews of web properties and digital experiences (WCAG-based testing)
- Execute and troubleshoot automated accessibility scans using approved enterprise tools
- Review and manage the inventory of accessibility scanning tools and configurations
- Provide guidance and support to engineering teams to remediate accessibility findings
- Ensure scan results are accurate, actionable, and aligned to compliance requirements
- Track assessment results and help maintain reporting dashboards and documentation
Requirements:
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
- Deep Accessibility Assessment Expertise: Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 (AA minimum); experience performing manual testing (keyboard navigation, screen reader testing, color contrast, ARIA validation); accessibility certification required (e.g., IAAP CPACC, WAS, or equivalent)
- Accessibility Tooling & Automation Management: Experience with automated scanning tools using Accessibility Insights; ability to troubleshoot false positives, configuration issues, and scan failures
- Strong Communication & Organizational Skills: Ability to explain accessibility issues to developers in clear, actionable terms; experience working independently and managing assessment workflows; ability to coordinate scan scheduling, reporting, and remediation tracking across teams
- Experience supporting and enhancing the security posture and compliance readiness of cloud-based services
- Experience with accessibility work at the division level, spanning multiple organizations and tools
