The Senior Reliability Engineer will implement and manage reliability strategies across multiple phases of product development, production, and sustainment, ensuring products meet high standards of safety and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and oversee reliability strategies across development, production, and sustainment phases, ensuring product performance aligns with safety and reliability standards
- Support and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing expertise in reliability disciplines such as FMECA, reliability predictions, ESS, and derating
- Lead analysis efforts to identify failure modes, root causes, and corrective actions to enhance product reliability and maintainability
- Review technical documentation for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards, providing feedback and suggestions for improvements
- Mentor and coach other reliability engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
- Support the development of reliability testing and prediction models, ensuring data-driven decision-making throughout the product lifecycle
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical meetings to communicate reliability findings and recommendations effectively
Requirements:
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in systems engineering or reliability engineering
- Experience with root cause analysis
- Experience with predictive and preventative maintenance concepts
- Experience with test methodology development
- Ability to obtain an interim Secret U.S. government security clearance prior to starting
- Strong analytical skills
- Technical documentation review capabilities
- Familiarity with reliability tools and standards
