Brillian is a venture-backed company that provides tailored business advice and financial solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. They are seeking full-stack software engineers to support and grow their financial platform offerings, with a focus on building and maintaining production-quality systems and user interfaces.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage TypeScript+React, Relay, and GraphQL to build beautiful user interfaces and experiences
- Expand and maintain our backend services (a mix of Elixir/Phoenix, Go, Python, and NodeJS) running on cloud-based serverless technologies
- Create and refine automated AI agent systems written in Python
- Support existing products and features, while helping design and build new ones
- Collaborate regularly with other stakeholders and partners to solicit requirements, seek feedback and provide updates
Requirements:
- Experience building full stack web applications (ideally for at least 10 years, given the seniority of the position)
- Strong understanding of modern browser technology and experience building for the web (HTTP, how cookies work, CSP, CORS, etc)
- Strong relational database fundamentals
- Demonstrable proficiency and a track record of professional success coding in at least two programming languages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoy working in a collaborative environment where engineers are expected not only to build great technology, but also to define project vision, specify technical strategy, and always be learning
- Experience presenting to audiences and communicating effectively and empathetically with clients and other stakeholders
- Quickly learning new languages, frameworks, and technologies (including best practices)
- With relational databases (and SQL) and query optimization
- As a technical leader (team lead or management experience)
- Deploying on and configuring Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud
- Writing production-ready code in Elixir, TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, or Ruby
- Developing AI agents and utilizing LLMs for automation
