Senior Director, Lead Software Engineering

Fivetran is a company dedicated to simplifying data access for organizations. They are seeking a Head of Engineering to manage a talented engineering team, drive product features, and ensure technical excellence while leveraging modern tooling stacks and AI assistants.

Responsibilities:

• Manage small but world class all-star engineering team
• Own and implement many core product features
• Drive and execute deep integrations into existing products and platform
• Balance features, scope and speed

Requirements:

• Must be an experienced Sr leader
• Proficient with modern tooling stacks and AI assistants
• Responsible for organizing and implementing much of the work around a new highly integrated product offering and an open source repo
• Ensuring the technical excellence of your team and owned services
• Reviewing code
• Contributing to architectural designs
• Mentoring your junior colleagues

• Ability to use conversational AI systems (like Claude, ChatGPT, and internal chatbots) to support researching, authoring, reviewing, and synthesizing various SDLC artifacts such as TDDs, PRDs, Postmortems, Test Plans, and Proposals
