CNO Financial Group is hiring a Manager, Product Development who will provide subject matter expertise to develop and implement insurance products across their brands. The role involves collaboration with various cross-functional teams to ensure product design meets corporate criteria and regulatory standards while remaining competitive in the market.
Responsibilities:
- Serving as a subject matter expert for a specific portfolio of insurance products, such as life, health, or annuity
- Leading the product design process to develop features and benefits that align with field and corporate criteria
- Collaborating with sales leadership to gather feedback on product design attributes for new and enhanced products
- Continuously analyzing the product portfolio to identify opportunities for new products or enhancements based on market needs
- Integrating trends and insights from Product Intelligence into product development and design processes
- Ensuring products meet regulatory standards, support sales processes, and remain competitive by working cross-functionally
- Providing guidance to ensure marketing, sales, and training materials accurately represent product features and benefits
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Marketing, or other business degree
- Seven years of related experience in financial services or insurance product design and development
- The ability to collaborate effectively at all levels within an organization, fostering working relationships across organizational lines
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment while adhering to deadlines and adapting to change
- Possess a strong understanding of the financial services and/or insurance industry and the end-to-end product development lifecycle
- Demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to grasp impacts of both simple and complex financial or insurance concepts
- Effectively synthesize business priorities, agent practices, and customer preferences into a comprehensive product development plan
- Can skillfully translate complex product features and benefits into accessible information for communication across the organization
- Possess deep knowledge of financial services or insurance distribution and sales processes, enabling effective product implementation strategies to enhance product launches
- Master's Degree in Finance, Marketing, or other business degree
- The ability to leverage AI & automation into day-to-day business operations
