IntePros is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure and resilient network capabilities within public cloud environments, particularly focusing on Microsoft Azure. The role involves ensuring network infrastructure aligns with enterprise security standards while collaborating with various teams to implement consistent operational practices.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain asset and data inventories across in-scope cloud subscriptions and resources
- Develop and maintain configuration management practices, including baseline configurations and protection of configuration documentation. Review and update baselines at defined intervals
- Oversee external service providers and third-party integrations to ensure alignment with enterprise security, risk, and performance expectations
- Establish and enforce network communications policies, including wireless usage restrictions within defined authorization boundaries, and ensure monitoring is in place at system boundaries
- Define acceptable use policies for mobile code and VoIP technologies, including authorization, monitoring, and usage control aligned with enterprise security standards
- Coordinate shared evidence for physical and environmental controls with cloud providers and compile provider documentation required for audits
- Conduct privacy impact assessments when deploying systems that process personal data and ensure logging and monitoring align with enterprise requirements
- Enable continuous monitoring by implementing dashboards, metrics, and reporting processes. Track remediation of findings and produce periodic compliance reports and audit artifacts
- Create and maintain technical documentation including control implementation narratives, procedures, and evidence packages
- Collaborate with cloud engineering, security, architecture, and operations teams to prioritize remediation efforts, strengthen control coverage, and improve operational resilience
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with network engineering in public cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure, including virtual networks, routing, segmentation, firewalls, security groups, and boundary protections
- Experience with cloud governance and policy tools used to assess and enforce configuration and compliance across customer-managed resources
- Strong knowledge of configuration management practices, including defining baseline configurations, protecting configuration documentation, and maintaining asset inventories
- Practical understanding of secure identity and access practices such as multi-factor authentication, least privilege, and just-in-time access
- Experience producing audit-ready documentation including implementation narratives, procedures, evidence packages, and compliance reports
- Scripting or automation experience using tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Terraform to support configuration management, monitoring, and policy enforcement
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
- Experience with Azure networking services such as Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, Private Link, and route tables
- Familiarity with policy-as-code approaches for governance in large cloud environments
- Experience working with enterprise security and risk management frameworks and collaborating with internal or external audit teams
- Background supporting regulated environments with strong emphasis on operational rigor, documentation quality, and continuous monitoring
