The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will play a crucial role in driving data-driven innovation and strategic decision-making, working with large datasets to generate actionable insights and collaborating with various business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets to generate actionable insights
- Go beyond surface level insights, taking a deeper level of analysis to look into underlying patterns, causes, and implications of the data for different areas of the business and different stakeholders. Further utilize knowledge of the business to proactively identify trends or data components to surface for leadership beyond original business asks
- Build the next version of our self-service data products, delivering insights at scale
- Tell meaningful stories with data and translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for business stakeholders, empowering data-driven decision-making across the organization
- Assist data consumers and stakeholders, across very diverse business groups and geographies to understand what is possible with our data
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Marketing and Executive Leadership Team, to understand business needs, translate that to data requirements, and suggest key metrics to further support business decisions
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and security in the data products delivered; and own the documentation of data flows and logic
- Collaborate closely with Data and Analytical Engineering, Data Product Manager and stakeholders, designing and developing company standard curated data and metrics to democratize insights
- Help cultivate a strong data-driven culture by actively contributing to the data and analytics community
- Stay updated on BI best practices, tools, and emerging trends to enhance analytics capabilities
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related role within the technology sector
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large-scale data extraction, manipulation and analysis
- Advanced analysis and data visualization skills and experience working with tools like Tableau, Quicksight, Superset, R libraries (e.g., dplyr, ggplot2, tidyr) or Python libraries (e.g., Seaborn, Matplotlib)
- Knowledge of data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.) and ETL processes
- Expertise in statistical methods, including hypothesis testing, A/B testing, and causal inference
- Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and automation
- Experience with data governance and management tools (Atlan, Alation)
- Solid problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail. Ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights
- Effective communication skills to present complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders that inspire actions
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate and influence across functions, including experience consulting on data with senior and executive level leadership
- Ability to manage multiple projects, balance impact and effort, and focus on delivering value efficiently
