ServiceTrade is a leading SaaS company transforming the fire protection and mechanical industries. They are seeking a motivated and skilled DevOps Engineer I to maintain and scale the infrastructure that powers their applications, ensuring health, performance, and reliability. This role involves managing AWS infrastructure, supporting engineering teams, and troubleshooting issues.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for uptime, performance, security, and stability of ServiceTrade’s applications, including:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure management
- EC2 server administration, monitoring and tuning
- RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and DynamoDB/DocumentDB
- Serverless architecture (AWS Lambda)
- Network configuration
- Access Management
- Support Engineering teams infrastructure needs for project initiatives
- Support CI/CD pipelines for production and lower environments
- Troubleshooting of issues with minimal supervision with the need to learn new technologies on a regular basis
- Including but not limited to log analysis
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and support
- Maintaining environment configuration through infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Collaboration with other teams such as Engineering, Product Management, Customer Support and external partners such as AWS
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field
- Experience with Linux system administration
- Experience or understanding of horizontal scaling of web applications
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants or AI-powered code editors
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies

- Experience with MySQL administration and configuration. DBA experience is a plus
- Experience with CI/CD Pipelines. GitHub Actions is preferred
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation or Terraform
- Experience with ElasticSearch (ELK), AWS Cloudwatch or related logging/monitoring tools
- Experience with Postgres / AWS Redshift is a plus
- Experience with Amazon EKS
- Experience with Azure, AzureSQL and Windows Server administration
- Experience working with Puppet or equivalent
- Experience: Terraform
