TEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services, seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join their Business Applications team. The role involves partnering with stakeholders to improve processes and systems, translating business needs into clear requirements for enterprise applications in the media domain.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business owners, system owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operational needs
- Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints associated with proposed solutions, including impacts to upstream and downstream systems, integrations, and business processes
- Lead structured requirements elicitation and manage requirement changes and approvals
- Translate business needs into business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Analyze current-state processes and systems to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
- Develop working knowledge of assigned enterprise applications to recommend best-fit solutions
- Document current and future state business processes and workflows
- Maintain requirement traceability from discovery through testing and release
- Create end-user documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles to support adoption and operations
- Serve as a liaison between business partners, technical teams, and vendors
- Participate in discovery, prototyping, and solution design discussions
- Collaborate with technical teams and vendors to assess solution options, tradeoffs, and feasibility, including whether existing platforms can meet business needs or if enhancements or alternative approaches are required
- Manage expectations by clearly communicating decisions, risks, and dependencies
- Create test scripts and validation plans mapped to documented requirements
- Support QA and UAT execution and issue resolution
- Assist with training, readiness activities, and post-implementation reviews
- Investigate system and workflow issues using structured analysis techniques, document root causes, and provide clear recommendations and solution options
- Maintain awareness of how assigned business applications integrate with other enterprise systems, vendors, and data platforms, and factor those dependencies into analysis and recommendations
- Support planning activities by contributing to effort sizing, timeline considerations, and high-level cost or resource impacts, and participate in post-mortems and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities where automation or AI-enabled capabilities within enterprise platforms can improve efficiency, data quality, or user experience, and help evaluate their business impact and risks
- Performs other related duties as assigned in support of Business Applications initiatives and organizational objectives
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
- Strong experience with requirements elicitation and documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, Halo ITSM or similar work management platforms
- Knowledge of project management and SDLC methodologies and ITSM principles
- Experience in media, broadcast, streaming, or advertising environments
- Exposure to enterprise SaaS platforms and system integrations
- Experience creating training materials and knowledge base content
