We are looking for a talented Equipment Technician to conduct preventative maintenance and give technical field service support at all testing locations.
Job Description:
- Accompany MDE during equipment audits and perform repairs and calibrations if needed for failing audit items
- Perform routine diagnostics, calibration, preventive maintenance and repair of emission analyzers and other lane systems following set schedules and procedures when not performing MDE audits
- Assist in maintenance and repair of other company electrical and electronic systems such as alarms, telephone computer peripheral systems
- Complete necessary paperwork and reports as needed
- Execute first-level diagnosis of hardware/software operational problems
- Main inventory of common failure items to ensure equipment is returned to operational status quickly.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Must have valid Drivers License and be in good standing with the Department of Motor Vehicles
- Frequent bending, lifting, climbing, pushing and pulling up to 50% of the time
- Driving up to 30% of the time.
- Knowledge of: computers, networks, hand tools, electronic tools and electronic test equipment in order to successfully troubleshoot and solve problems on a day-to-day basis.
- Must be a self-starter who can work independently.
- Familiarity with centralized lane software, FIS software, and Kiosk software.
- Must maintain integrity and discretion while working with MDE.
- Must be familiar with test equipment, including emissions analyzers, digital voltmeters and other types of testing equipment.
- Proven written and verbal communications skills.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
