As a Software Engineer in Test, this is your chance to work alongside a group of talented developers, impart your vision, and rapidly launch the latest cloud storage software. Role Overview
As a Software Engineer in QA, you will work as part of the Product Engineering team responsible for delivering an enterprise-class NetApp software product. You will leverage your QA skills to contribute to both the creation and testing of software, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and innovative storage and data management products. Your role will include working closely with development to verify product functionality through manual tests.

 

Essential Functions

• Develop, implement, and execute manual software tests.
• Verify systems/subsystems by understanding test requirements and formulating test cases.
• Support inter-dependent development and testing activities.
• Analyze and document test standards, procedures and results.
• Work closely with development engineers and drive resolution of problems.
• Qualify various storage HDD and flash drives 
• Contribute to test infrastructure, labs and testbeds.
• Create and develop test automation strategies.

Job Requirements

• Familiarity with networking concepts,, and lan infrastructure 
• Understanding of distributed systems.
• Experience working in a Linux environment with containers.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and continuous integration.

Education & Experience

A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or a related technical discipline with 2+ years of experience in Software Engineering QA; a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience is required.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 104,550 - 155,100 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
