Intern/Aide (Part-time)

Summary

The intern will receive structured, hands-on training in the core functions of a regional AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) and collaborative partnerships with community-based organizations. This is a part-time position working 10 hours per week.

 

This includes:

• HIV prevention and care education: Exposure to current CDC and HRSA/ Ryan White guidelines, evidence-based HIV treatment strategies, and Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) initiatives.
• Program operations and implementation science: Practical skills in planning, implementing, and evaluating provider education programs (e.g., ECHO sessions, workshops, webinars).
• Community engagement: Training in people-first language, cultural humility, and methods for engaging community partners and clinical sites across diverse urban and rural settings.
• Data and quality improvement: Instruction in collecting and analyzing educational outcome metrics, developing reports, and using quality improvement tools to assess impact. 

Job Duties

• Performs entry level administrative or project duties.
• May observe tasks related to field of study or career interest.
• May assist with special projects/programs. 
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

•  Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school, or higher education institution. 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Pursuing an undergraduate or advanced degree.
• Interest in pursuing a career in the health profession.
• Experience using Microsoft Office tools including advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
