Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and evaluate productivity and accuracy of warehouse personnel in all areas, including receiving, storing, picking, staging, and preparing orders for shipment.
- Oversee and resolve inventory discrepancies related to accuracy, shortages, overages, and damages ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Maintain and enforce high safety standards, adhering to company policies, good manufacturing practices, Food and Drug guidelines, and Drug Enforcement laws, while driving continuous improvement in safety performance
- Direct and adjust workload distribution based on service demands, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Foster cross-team collaboration and ensure daily outbound shipping targets are met through effective coordination and communication.
- Oversee fleet truck routing, dock supervision, and the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, including TL, LTL, parcel shipments, ensuring service level expectations are met
- Train, mentor, and develop warehouse personnel and subordinate supervisors, ensuring strong understanding of procedures, safety protocols, and operational standards.
- Utilize handheld RF scanners for warehouse tasks, ensuring precise data entry, verification of product details, for accurate inventory management.
- Maintain expertise in Oracle transactions for product lookups, sub-inventory moves, receipts, replenishments, and running BI reports to manage area of responsibility.
- Lead and support the implementation and sustainment of lean warehouse practices, including 5S methodology and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure general housekeeping duties are performed to maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment and hold teams accountable for standards.
- Work collaboratively within designated teams to support safety initiatives, process improvements, and overall warehouse efficiency at a departmental level.
- Lead special assignments and operational initiatives as needed to support business objectives.
Knowledge & Skills
- Computer knowledge-proficient in MS office applications i.e. word, excel with the ability to analyze operational data and generate performance reports.
- Warehouse management systems experience (i.e. Oracle EBS) demonstrated capability to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and guide others in system utilization.
- Experience using forklift equipment
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey direction to supervisors and staff and communicate operational priorities to leadership.
- Detail and process oriented with a strong ability to identify gaps, implement improvements, and enforce process discipline.
- Proven ability to operate as a team player while providing leadership, support, and accountability across multiple work teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in fast‑paced or escalated situations.
- Proven interpersonal skills to effectively train employees with systems, processes and procedures and to coach subordinate supervisors in developing their teams.
- A positive, professional attitude with the ability to coach, lead and mentor staff and drive a high‑performance culture across all outbound operations.
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
- 5+ years of warehousing experience across 2 or more functional areas (e.g., receiving, inventory control, shipping, or returns), including at least 1 year of formal leadership or lead/supervisory experience.
Work Environment
- Stand and/or walk during shifts for extended periods of time.
- Lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach above the head, kneel, crouch and/or stretch during shift work hours.
