Licensed Practical Nurse - UI Health Care Holiday Road and North Dodge Pediatric Clinics 100%

The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is seeking a patient centered 100% (40 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at our UICC Holiday Road and North Dodge Pediatric Clinics. This position will mainly support our Holiday Road and North Dodge Pediatric Clinics but could float to other patient specialties/clinic locations.

Duties to include:

• Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
• In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
• Current valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the University Driving Policy Standards

Percent of Time: 100% (40 hours per week)

Schedule: Variable hours Monday - Friday between 7:30 am - 7:00 pm. Weekend rotation. Holidays as needed. No on call time.

Location: Iowa City, IA and Coralville, IA (or surround clinics based on clinical need or hours)

Pay Grade: 11 

Salary: $44,557.92 - $66,377.52 (at 100% time) Hourly: $21.34 - $31.79 (based on years of experience)

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification
• Basic Cardiac Life Support provider

Special Qualification/License:

• Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards. 
• Demonstrated excellent written/verbal communication.

Highly Desired Requirements

• Previous EPIC experience
• Previous Pediatric Clinic experience

Desirable Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate teamwork, collaboration, and autonomy in all aspects of the role
• Previous immunization experience

Staff may be required to receive a passing score on work samples to be considered for this position
