The primary function of the Building Maintenance Mechanic is a collaborative spirit where everyone contributes. Being a team player, working with ease alongside others, and showcasing hard work and reliability are essential. A deep knowledge of building maintenance is a BIG PLUS.
Responsible for preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance of all equipment.
Applies operational procedures as required by state and local codes. Maintains log of all equipment status and inventory of parts and materials necessary for repairs.
Assists all other trades in the Facilities Department,
Knowledge of using a hot work permit.
Assist in performing maintenance and repairs on lighting, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems as needed.
Maintain records of maintenance and repairs using computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Abide by safety policies and report safety hazards to Supervisor / Department Manager.
Keeps all equipment, equipment rooms and other assigned areas clean.
Fabricates, installs, repairs, and maintains all facets of the building structure, exteriors and other amenities to include, but not limited to, all mills work, walls, ceilings, floor coverings, basic electric, and/or plumbing.
Be a participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestions. Contribute to the improvement of the business with ideas.
Engage collaboratively with all departments in a professional and courteous manner.
Respond to emergency and critical situations.
Provides fast and flawless service to every customer.

Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demand:
Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Position requires 20% standing, 80% walking.
Requires frequent bending, pushing, twisting, kneeling, climbing, stooping, and reaching overhead.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, climb ladders and wok on man-lift type equipment.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to respond to touch, speech, smell, aural and visual cues.
Compensation & Schedule
Earn between $25.00 - $29.00/hr, based on experience.
Employment Type – Full Time
Schedule: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Must possess a minimum of five years of experience in commercial and residential building maintenance.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Must possess the versatile skill set of a "jack of all trades" in maintenance.
Candidates must possess a fundamental understanding of computer systems, including proficiency in utilizing work order applications such as Maximino.
Must have a working knowledge of plumbing, electric, rough and finish carpentry, drywall techniques, ceiling tile installation, floor covering and painting.
Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools is essential.
The ability to use test equipment including, but not limited to, multi-meters, temperature probes, and circuit tracers.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and diagrams.
Ability to use technical manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
