What you'll do...
Scope of Commodities: HV Battery Management Systems (BMS) - BECM, BPSM, OBCC
Utilize technical, manufacturing, and procurement expertise in HV BMS Modules to lead the procurement process and execute commodity strategy for the scope of commodities listed above.
Leverage a deep understanding of the components within the module Bill of Materials and comprehensive insight into manufacturing cost drivers to improve supplier design and process efficiency, optimize capital and tooling investments, and drive industry best practices, supported by supply chain competitive intelligence.
Execute procurement processes and continuous cost improvement objectives on time while satisfying internal financial and supply chain targets
Drive data transparency from the supply base to support fact-based negotiations to deliver cost targets and eliminate cost gaps to internal cost estimates.
Communicate regularly with Ford finance, purchasing, product development, and program leadership teams to establish strong relationships that yield actionable insights.
Collaborate with global counterparts in other countries to develop and implement commodity strategy.
Ensure the negotiation, execution, and administration of supplier contracts that are clearly defined and aligned with organizational objectives, meeting all Ford terms and conditions.
Cultivate and sustain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers, demonstrating a deep understanding of their business needs, challenges, and opportunities.
Treat suppliers with respect while holding them accountable for all aspects of delivery (product quality, cost, delivery, warranty, etc.).
Provide leadership within Ford procurement processes and commodity strategy implementation.
Contribute to broader Supply Chain Management initiatives as required.
Requirements You'll have...
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
* 7+ years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles, with a proven track record managing complex commodities and strategic supplier relationships.
* 5+ years of demonstrated expertise in supplier performance management, including supplier evaluation, development, and building long-term strategic partnerships that drive continuous improvement.
* Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), analytics tools, e-procurement platforms, and the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently identify, analyze, and resolve complex supply chain challenges using data-driven decision-making.
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360., This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
