About this role
- Operate walkie, stand-up reach, stand-up counter-balanced, and stockpicker lift trucks safely.
- Complete Daily Operator's Checklist for lift trucks used each shift.
- Inspect for signs of pest activity, contamination, damage, or odors.
- Maintain equipment and storage zones in clean order with general housekeeping, sweeping, and light scrubbing.
- Accurately record all material movements via RF scanning and paper documentation.
- Deliver materials to production lines and areas based on FIFO, age, and specific material requirements of specific product formulas.
- Accurately count materials.
- Maintain proper supply of materials to prevent downtime due to material outages.
- Clean and inspect materials being returned from production before returning materials to storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and sanitation requirements are met.
- All other relevant duties as assigned.
- General knowledge and use of basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to work weekends.
- Ability to work in cold conditions.
- Basic communications skills; bi-lingual skills preferred.
- Organized and detail oriented.
