Job Duties and Responsibilities: Apply various analytical techniques on research projects, such as, cropping systems research both field and lab, testing, analyzing, and reporting research results related to limited irrigation and dry land production systems, soil and water management, crop rotations, crop production, soil quality, both chemical and physical characteristics, residue management, variety testing, pesticide and fungicide research, and other related job duties as assigned by the principal investigator. May supervise and manage lab/research assistant temporary workers. Coordinate with outside entities on project objectives, local and out of state. Prepare reports for annual and grant reporting. Prepare documentation to be used in publications.
- Data Collection - Responsible for data collection, filling out inspection forms, record keeping and organization. Provide timely and necessary reports to the Seed Certification Program manager.
- Conduct field and lab research
- Reporting - Prepare analyses, reports, and other documentation for publication; presents findings at local, national, and/or international meetings.
Required Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree + 7 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 5 years of relevant experience.

Environment: Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.
Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Risk: Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
