POSITION SUMMARY:

The Filing Clerk/Records Retention position is an entry level position within the company and will involve all tasks necessary for the perfection of new vehicle loans including:

Filing, scanning, validating vehicle titles.
Calling lenders to follow up on the status of titles for paid off vehicles.
Reviewing outstanding titles reports to ensure liens are perfected in a timely manner.
Managing files and records.
Updating and notating accounts as title related documents are received.
Corresponding with others within the organization regarding title releases.

The position will perform various tasks associated with reviewing DMV documents for accuracy and completeness. This individual will also interact with other departments as a service-provider.

The successful candidate must be self-directed in work prioritization and will demonstrate good judgment-making ability within the scope of the position’s areas of responsibility. The associate will perform all duties in accordance with Westlake policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations.

Superior data entry skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work under time constraints and daily deadlines.
Versatility in job functionality and quick to assimilate procedural changes.
Good interpersonal skills and teamwork awareness.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of Administrative and clerical procedures, managing files and records; and mathematical principles (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, and percentages) and application; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Pay attention to detail; read and comprehend instructions and information; communicate in a professional manner on the phone; and use standard office equipment.

MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE

Web navigation and/or web-based applications
Personal computer: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
10-key calculator and keyboard skills
Copier, Faxing & other general office supplies

What’s the expected pay for this role?

$16 to $18.50 per hour with a potential bonus opportunity of $600 per month depending on performance.
The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
