Title: Reception – Seasonal Events Team Member - 5 month contract
Shift: Varied – Schedule to include day, evening and week-end shifts

This post is for an existing contract vacancy and is actively being recruited for.
Job Purpose: The purpose of this position is to work closely with the Events team, offering hands-on support to ensure smooth operations and successful outcomes for events held throughout our trading area.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with the Events Coordinator on all aspects of event execution, including scheduling deliveries, setups, and teardown.
- Support branding efforts by assisting with content creation and engagement across social media platforms.
- Work with the warehouse team to select featured products and prepare accessory displays for events (i.e. wrapping grills, loading products, etc.)
- Provide assistance to the warehouse team in managing event-related stock by organizing items and ensuring they are accurately returned to inventory.
- Organize and stock event bins according to the checklist provided, ensuring efficient storage and easy access for future use.
- Set up and dismantle booths, tents, and product displays at various venues, ensuring professional presentation.
- Maintain event vehicles, both interior and exterior ensuring the utmost cleanliness up to Napoleon Home Comfort standards.
- Ensure cleanliness of designated event space in the warehouse.
- Clean and maintain event equipment, including tents, tables, and display items, ensuring they are in optimal condition for each event.
- Engage with attendees, customers, and prospects through interactive activities such as games, contests, and information gathering for promotions.
- Collect payments from customers, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions, when required.
- Assist with product sales during events.
- Provide general warehouse support when not attending events.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support organizational goals.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and adapt to varied weather conditions.
Education and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a college-level program in Business, Advertising, or Marketing.
- Experience in volunteering, school projects, or part-time roles related to marketing or events is considered an asset.
- Valid Smart Serve and Food Handling/Safety certifications is considered an asset.
- Valid G-class driver’s license with a clean driving record (driver’s abstract required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Requires capability to work at heights; appropriate training will be supplied.
- Physical ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during events.
