- Attend departmental and plant Daily Management meetings for the purpose of identifying focus areas for Reliability team
- Develop and oversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all critical equipment.
- Ensure equipment and systems operate safely, efficiently and in compliance with our Quality Assurance programs
- Ability to improve processes and implement reliability systems to optimize resource costs while meeting expectations.
- Organize staff, direct and control maintenance operations to ensure that plant objectives are achieved in an effective and efficient manner
- Manage asset requirements to ensure operational requirements are met for the whole lifecycle
- Develop implementation plans, including budget and resource plans for all Reliability/Maintenance projects
- Collaborate with Plant & Corporate Engineering Teams to optimize equipment availability
- Provide accurate forecasting and ensure adherence to departmental budgets
- Provide day-to-day leadership of team, including hiring, development and performance management
- Participate in site audits (safety and Safe Quality Foods), ensuring action items are completed on time and on budget
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades and capital projects.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation, or a Red Seal trade certification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or Electrician.
- Maintenance Management Professional Accreditation (or willing to work towards)
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience, preferably within a food manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to create and manage preventative maintenance plans and manage capital projects from a maintenance and reliability standpoint
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability and experience managing a budget
