
We are looking for an Exhibition Production Project Manager
What we are looking for:
Manage multiple exhibition fabrication projects simultaneously ;
Plan, coordinate, and track budgets, resources, and schedules ;
Collaborate with designers and scenographers to assess technical feasibility ;
Ensure quality, safety, and adherence to conservation standards ;
Lead, mentor, and develop the workshop team ;
Oversee installation and maintenance of exhibitions ;
Identify and resolve design, fabrication, or installation issues.
Minimum seven (7) years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience:
7+ years project management, preferably in fabrication or museum environment ;
5+ years managing technical teams or skilled craftsmen ;
Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and on budget ;
Experience working with designers and creative professionals ;
Knowledge of project management and budget tracking software.
Knowledge of:
Exhibition fabrication and woodworking ;
Museum conservation principles and artifact-safe materials ;
Accessibility guidelines and museum standards ;
Structural engineering principles for exhibitions ;
Sustainable design and green building practices.
Education: College Diploma in Cabinetmaking and Furniture, design, architecture, or related field. Degree in Project Management is an asset.
Certifications:
Elevated platform certification ;
Forklift certification ;
Fall protection certification ;
First Aid certification ;
WHMIS certification ;
Valid driver’s license.
Compensation: $ 84 409 to $ 104 460 (E6)
