Sr Backend Engineer, Platform Engineering - Network Data

Kentik is the network intelligence platform for modern infrastructure teams, enabling organizations to deliver applications and innovation at scale. The role of Sr Backend Engineer in Platform Engineering focuses on scaling network data observability features and collaborating with various teams to enhance customer service and product offerings.

Responsibilities:

• Work as an Individual Contributor to improve our network data observability services to meet customer demands
• Collaborate with other engineer teams, support, and sales teams
• Work on high-visibility, challenging engineering problems

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development using Go, with a strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and high-throughput data pipelines
• Experience building scalable REST/gRPC APIs and Kafka-based streaming pipelines
• Experience in network management or network data analytics
• Basic understanding of network observability topics like IPFIX/Netflow/sflow, SNMP, IP (v4/v6) allocation, BGP, DNS, etc and the network domain and use cases
• A passion to grow personally and contribute to our team
• Strong collaboration skills
